Hello!
My name is Elle Gallagher and I am a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am receiving my Masters in Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (MEITE). During my time as a MEITE student, I have taken courses in digital marketing, business and the media, design thinking, innovation and prototyping, education in relation to the media, and learning sciences.
Interests & Goals
I am on the Innovative Specialist track of the MEITE Program. My focus with this track is on how marketing and innovation influence Educational Technology companies and products. Through my studies, I have cultivated a deep passion for the cutting-edge technologies that not only enrich classroom experiences but also extend their impact far beyond. With the privilege of firsthand observation, I've witnessed how technology significantly transforms the lives of educators and students alike.

I spent this year working for MetaMetrics through the MEITE program's internship as a Web Designer. I assisted in developing their new website through conducting wesbite audits and research concerning effective product marketing.

Along with this, I work for the MEITE program and Innovate Carolina dealing with digital marketing and design. As the social media marketing specialist for MEITE, I crafted marketing campaigns, leveraging ad placements for the program's recruitment. I executed website developments ensuring alignment with the program's identity. For Innovate Carolina, I created and implemented a social media campaign to promote awareness of the business accelerators that they offer and aided in regular website updates.

I hope to work alongside a company working with their Marketing and Social Media divisions to create brand/product awareness, increase sales, and determine/ensure the consumer's needs are being met.
Prior Education & Background
I went to Purdue University and received a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Bachelors in Spanish. I have had two internships working in Marketing. One company I interned with was a social media marketing agency that worked with a variety of clients. I worked with organic social media which included digital communication, influencer marketing, and social interaction. The other company I interned for was Science Central, which is a nonprofit science center. I created digital content, ran their social media accounts, and advertisements.

I love engaging in professional environments that prioritize creativity and offer the opportunity to have a meaningful influence on the promotion of products or services. I am particularly drawn to the process of crafting visually captivating content with the purpose of engaging a target audience. Marketing and social media work together dynamically, as they have influence over consumer perceptions and the overall success of a company. The ability to connect with individuals within online communities and curate content that resonates with them is a source of fulfillment for me. I believe that the task of cultivating interest and driving positive outcomes through marketing and social media channels is not only personally rewarding but also fundamentally impactful in the broader professional landscape.
